I am running into an issue with my Logitech Webcam. When I take a photo and save it to a shared drive, I can see the image on the drive, but when I access my EMR, the image will not appear. Usually when I log out of EMR and back in, then the image will appear. How can I get the EMR to view the files on the shared drive in real time?
This sounds like an IT issue, but you haven't provided enough information.
Is this CEMR or CPS?
Is the app (CPS/CEMR) local or on a terminal server?
When you say the image won't appear, do you mean after you have attached it to the registration, or you can't see the file to add it to registration?
Yes it is CEMR 9.8, terminal server. When I would take a photo, it appears on our share drive, but will not appear in the photo registration area in the patient chart. I did some digging around and hopefully I was able to find a fix. In windows exploror under folder and search options, I needed to select "show all folders". This has let me view the photos in real-time inside CEMR as I take a new photo. I have not needed to log out and back into my CEMR to view the new photos.
Definitely sounds like an IT issue then. Show all folders will display hidden and system folders. I wouldn't imagine that the folder in which you're saving your images should be hidden. I'd suggest checking with IT to make sure you're saving to the correct location.
Will do! Thank you for your reply.
