We have GE, SureScripts, Kryptiq (depending on who you talk to) patient portal. Is anyone using the online bill pay page for patients to make payments online? Is so, how does that work? Do payments automatically post after the patient submit the payment online? Do we need a third party vendor to automatically post payments? Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kimberly West
He have the bill pay page active. I t sends users to an e-form that asks for there credit card info and the amount they would like to pay. that info is then sent as a secure message to the chosen recipient. There is nothing automatic about it. It is basically an alternative to someone calling and making a payment over the phone.
Kim I sent your questions to my Business Office manager and here is what she replied:
We do have POS (Kryptiq) patient portal. We do have the online bill pay page for patients to make payments online. It auto posts to Centricity and sends us a report the next morning to reconcile our deposit. Our credit card processing company is involved to process the payments from the patients. We accept eChecks, Debt and Credit Cards on-line. Our IT has made a link from our Web Page that also can take the patient to the online payment portal. POS also does our eStatements which supplies the patient with a bill code that they can go online and pay their bill.
If you have any other questions, I would be happy to help out. 🙂
We use Kryptiq for our patient portal which included online bill pay however a few years ago we received an email from Kryptiq stating the online bill pay wasn't secure so we had to remove it from the portal. Has this security issue been resolved? If so, I would like to add the option back to the portal. Thanks
