Has anyone found a way to get a patient identifier on the Truven handouts? We have many offices where multiple providers have office hours at once. Checkout has no way to know which handout goes to which patient. Has anyone found a workaround for this issue?

Our workaround was to install printers in all of the exam rooms. Since Truven is using a tunnel to open a website, HPI does not go with due to HIPAA. You are essentially printing from a website. No PHI! 🙂

We print to common printer. Prior to printing handout, we print a handout called "Pt Education Handouts Facesheet which contains only the standard handout header to identify the patient, then follow with Truveen patient handouts.
