How are you documenting combination vaccines for Pediatric patients?
For instance, Pentacel, Kinrix, etc...? Are you putting in an obs term for each single ingredient?
One of our pediatric offices uses a number of combination vaccines that may not have each ingredient as the same series number. How does that translate into your immunization printout?
I.e.-Child has a Pentacel today. (DTap/IPV/HIB) This is the child’s 2nd dose of DTap, but first dose of IPV & HIB.
How are you documenting that so when you print the immunization history it splits the ingredients into the right series number on the printout?

Thanks in advance for the help!

We document them separately, indicating the type of vaccine given (pediarix, twinrix, etc). It will show each antigen given on the immunization record (that we created).
Any chance you are interested in sharing what you've created?
