We use thin clients with remotescan to scan insurance card to CPS but the quality is very poor. anyone experience with that?

We used an OCR product a while back and it took better quality images so the OCR would work. Unfortunately with all of the holograms on state IDs the OCR failed most of the time.
I think they use low quality images natively to keep the DB size small but ours are readable. Maybe check the scanner calibration/cleanliness?

I don't think it's the cleanliness because even with new scanners, the image quality degrades when scanned into CPS. However if i scan the same card with a standalone image application, the image comes out clear. I think CPS degrades the quality and limit the quality level to keep the DB size small.
