We are preparing for an upgrade from EMR 9.10 to 9.12 and I am looking for clarification, advice, training on how other health centers dealt with the changes within the prescription module. We do have a 9.12 test site for the health center, and us, to access, and have done the webinars and meetings with Centricity, but I feel that we are still missing a piece of the puzzle. How did the change impact workflow surrounding prescription refills, requests etc? I want to prepare them as best as I can. Any advice, information, thoughts will be greatly appreciated!

We would be interested in this information as well. We haven't gotten our test system up yet but will be upgrading from 9.8 to 9.12 in September. The way refills are handled will have a big impact.

I would suggest holding off until SP2 is released. The refill form still has a lot of bugs in it.

That is what I am concerned about too. It seems to be set up so that the support staff are not in the workflow for prescriptions sent directly from pharmacies, and our health centers all utilize their support staff to review and "queue" up prescription for provider review and signature. They are worried about how the changes will impact their current work flow.

Any ideas when SP 2 will be released? We are scheduled to Go Live Sept 28th. For those of you already live, we are moving from EMR 9.8. How much time did you need for training? Thanks in advance.
