Is there an easy way to print the CMS1500 data onto the CMS form? Currently printing it returns just the values with no actual form populated as I assume it's meant to be printed on paper.
Any help would be much appreciated.
It's been awhile since I've messed with claims form processing and such, but you can add a jpg to your form with the Crystal Embedded Designer if you have it.
I wrote these instructions 10 or more years ago. They should still be pretty close.
- Go to Administration > Reports > Business Report Criteria > Superbill
- Select the encounter to modify
- Select Layout (layout is only available on a database licensed for Crystal Embedded Designer. See workaround info below).
- You will be prompted for an Appointment ID - enter any number there
- The following message should then display "DB is up to date"
- Click "OK"
- The Crystal Reports Encounter form will then display
- Right-click in an open area of the form and select Insert Picture, and locate the .jpg of the scanned encounter form referenced above.
- After inserting the picture, right-click on it and select move to background to move the scanned image behind the report fields.
- Edit as desired
- Preview and make sure the form fits on one page
- Save and exit Crystal Embedded Designer
-dp
This worked out rather well after a few minutes of getting everything to align correctly - thanks for the information!
doesn't the HCFA form have to be in red though?
The above method allows you to embed that red form into the background of the report, so you can print to PDF without having to merge
you guys must have a better deal on your color printers than we do, our's charge us $.08 per color copy. Its actually much cheaper for us to buy the HCFA forms in bulk and assign a B&W printer tray to the HCFAs.
