We recently upgraded to CPS 12.2.1 and are using the new RX Renewals process. The majority of the time, the process works great - we click "Start Renewal Document" and the system loads the patient's chart and starts an update containing the new Prescriptions form. Unfortunately, every now and then, we notice that the Prescriptions form itself takes a long time to load, so long that the window indicates that the system is Not Responding. If we let it run long enough, the form does finally load, sometimes after several minutes waiting.
GE suggested increasing the amount of RAM on our application/web server, which we have done. This issue is still occurring, so the latest response from GE is to further increase the amount of RAM on this server and a suggestion that it could a network/endpoint issue. All valid points. But before I head down these paths, I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experiences with the RX Renewals process and what steps you took to resolve them.
Thanks all!
Separate issue than yours but hoping for any insight with Rx Refill module.
We’re still working in our test environment and have not experienced slowness with the html Refill form. We are at 12.2.2 though.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
Michael
Hi Michael,
GE has recommended truncating our Formulary tables. We are going to do this on Friday and see if this improves performance. Stay tuned!
