Is it possible to put a CPS 11 environment into a read only mode?

When we converted to the combined CPS product, we made a copy of our existing CEMR environment and went in and set the security for everyone to where they could basically do no updates at all. That environment was made available in Citrix for the weekend of our conversion, that way for OB pts, etc that came in over the weekend the L&D staff had access to see the patient's records.

Thank you for your response. I thought it would be something like that.
Setting the database in read only mode seemed too simple.

I agree with Keith, that is what I did with our outside trainers who need access to our records. I gave them access to Citrx, made them their own group so they have no rights but to Centricity and then gave them no rights in security but to view documents within Centricity. Whenever they try to go into another module it tells them that they don't have access.

I don't know if you are using InDxLogic or not, but if so, they have a read only option within their application. Great for audits.
