We have an ever expanding referral list in our EHR, both of active and inactive specialists. As can be imagined over the past 6 years of use, there has been some garbage put in (wrong format, wrong info etc.) as well as specialist that have come and gone. Is there a way to delete these either incorrect and/or inactive entries? So far we have been renaming them to "OLD" but would like a cleaner way of doing so. In addition to this, I have seen many posts also asking for a report that can be run on the referral list but I haven't actually seen a response. Is there one out there?
Thank you
Dan
Are you not able to delete them from the same screen where you rename them? (Administration > Codes > Charts > Codes and Categories > Referrals, select category > Change)
We use the attached report to look up approved/preferred providers. Perhaps it can be modified to your needs. It's designed for Excel export, so it's not pretty to look at, but the guts are there. ApprovedProviders
GE's response is no - there is no way to delete a service provider, only to rename it. We are in the same situation. Internal providers come from the users set up in your system with privileges to document (our read only folks don't show up in the drop down).
I have a Crystal report that gives a list of service providers and I also have one that can be run against the orders to show referrals (or all order types - depending on what you want). I posted them to another post and can attach here also and/or email you if you feel that is what you are looking for.

Thank you both for your reports and sadly your answers that show what I suspected.. I'll give them both a try.
