Ok, there is a little trick to this.
Can someone tell me how to set "Responsible Provider" as a required field. I have tried selecting the checkbox in Administration>Registration>Registration Required Fields>Responsible Provider but it does not work. I've tried removing and re-adding the checkmark with no luck still.
By not requiring this, our registration staff is not selecting a RP, therefore, when labs come back across the interface, it errors stating Missing Provider, Orphaned document.
Thank you

When you go into Administrator > Registration > Registration Required Fields
Check Responsible Provider
Then click on something else like Race in the Tree menu, this will prompt you if you want to save, then it will be activated...
Now this will only take effect to new or registrations that are being edited. So for existing registrations, they must be edit to get prompted that it requires the responsible provider.
I have actually done exactly as you said with no luck still. I made sure I got the prompt asking to save the changes. I also went in to a patient, removed the responsible provider that was listed, click "save and exit", and it did not stop me.
I will try adding a new patient and see if it will work.
Thank you.

Very weird, make sure there is an asterisk next to Responsible Provider:
