I am sure there is a simple answer to this....
Is there a way to reprint a Rx w/out it entering it as a new clinical change in the chart? Everyone once in a while we have a provider print a Rx that is to be faxed to the pharmacy for the patient but it gets printed on our Rx paper and we are unable to fax it on that paper. This is due to the providers not taking the time to switch to the correct printer but our nurses are stuck figuring out how to resolve the problem. Most of the time they are able to call them in or print the Rx refill document from the chart to fax but it would look a lot nicer if we could get it to reprint as it appears when it is originally printed on the Rx paper.
Thanks!!!!!
Not really the answer you want but I would open a new document if the old one is already signed go to the refill form and do a refill and then select reprint or refax as the prescribing method. That way its all recorded in the chart.
