Has anyone installed Service Pack 6 yet? Any helpful information to share? And, does anyone know if there is any documentation for the Service Pack that is available.
Thanks,
Sue
I am also looking for feedback on CEMR SP6. Are there any new unforeseen bugs post install?
Sue, here are 2 documents available for SP6 on GE's support site, one is specifically for upgrading on a Windows server:
Thanks,
Chris
We have only installed it into test. Most of the issues we can reproduce are still there, but I did not see any new things in our limited testing. There are several fixes since we are on SP3. I figure the further we are from the current service pack, the less support we'll receive.
We plan to install on Thursday night this week (10/16). If we have any major issues, I'll post an update.
Jake
I put SP6 into a test environment last week; no particular issues occurred with the upgrade part of SP6:
- Updated test from EMR 9.8 SP5 to SP6 ; running SP3 in production
- Windows, Citrix
- Server/database piece of the SP took only about 10-minutes to complete, clients obviously longer
- Next step is to run the immunization migration
- Testing on CCC 9.0
Received one comment that the duplicate phone note form-issue was still occurring
Thanks Chris!
We updated to 12.0.6 over the weekend. So far nothing major has jumped out at us. The LinkLogic icon in CPS appears to show the number of jobs currently processing and not the number of errors now.
I'll post any updates as we find things.

Thanks to all for the replies!
Thanks David Shower for re-directing me to the thread already in progress on this topic! 🙂
We are on 9.8.3 currently, and now testing 9.8.6.
We were anxiously awaiting the fixes & improvements with the CVS, and unfortunely have found that the ROS has reverted back to displaying ALL historical information in this section of the CVS. This is a step back, as it had only pulled in the information pertaining to the current note in 9.8.3.
GE noted that this would be fixed in SP8.
We have EMR 9.8.6 on our test system and I printed a couple CVS today and the ROS was not included. They actually look pretty good and only 3 pages.
The CVS that prints is different than the CVS that is generated & saved in the chart. When selecting your option, try picking save to chart & then see what it looks like with the ROS. That's where we see the problem.
Yes, I see the same problem now too. We are on EMR 9.8.5 but GE gave us a script to run to stop all the ROS from showing and that worked. But.. when you customize, you can deselect anything you want but it still prints with everything. The copy in the chart is the customized copy so they are different. We are putting SP6 in our test system this afternoon and we'll be testing.
Re: the ROS issues in the CVS, the latest info we rec'd from GE is that it is covered in SPR# 58255, and this fix is part of the 9.9 release. We are asking for further clarification if it will be available in SP8 as well.
We have installed SP 6 in our Test environment. So far - two minor issues. Forms with embedded flowsheet are enlarged (extra blank space on the right edge) and System Admin will get flags about "Medi-Span Drug Interaction data expiring soon" daily even though the expiration date is nearly a month away. We installed on the 18th of October and the first flag was the 19th and the info doesn't expire until Nov. 17.
