We are planning to go live soon with EMR. We have a computer in every exam room and we realize before the user leaves the room they will need to log off to prevent patients in room signing into the system.
At the hopsital a user can sign on in the AM and when they walk up their badge will sign them back on. We are looking for a solution like this for our office -- thinking fingerprint authentication? We do work in a Citrix enviroment.
Has anyone done this? Which one did you use? What are the pros and cons? Cost?

We have been Imprivata for several years. It has worked well for the most part including in a Citrix and/or VMWare environment.
Imprivata supports fingerprint scanners but it also has support for proximity badges.
Thank you -- I will check that out!

Just to update this topic - Imprivata will only work with you if your are larger than 50. So I have reached out to Sentillion ExpreSSO, another SSO, which is now owned by Microsoft.
Still looking for a solution -- any suggestions will be appreciated.
