If we implement EPCS and get the fingerprint reader etc. (and setup AD authentication) Will the fingerprint reader sign you in to the EMR? (NOT CPS)
I think last i researched not matter what you did you still had to sign in to EMR with password, be it windows or emr based password, but wanted to see if i was wrong or it has changed.

As far as I know you will not have SSO capability. Someday, hopefully it will happen. I know our doctors would love to only have one password, and I like the lack of a password. If you discover that it is possible at some point please share your findings here.

bummer. that's just plain lazy on GE/athenahealth. it is 2019. we got hosted web apps that can do SSO with local domains.
