Hello,
I tried to mark a patient as sensitive today but when I go back into the chart and give the reason why I am in the chart everything on the main page except for alerts is blank. The only way to bring it back is to remove the sensitive status.
This was noticed by multiple staff members and even open documents wouldn't show up on the top left but if the user goes into the documents it is right there, it can be opened, edited, but not signed. Remove the sensitive status and everything works fine.
Any thoughts?
We have noticed this as well, if the user has Access on demand sensitive charts, this is when it seems to happen.
We've had some problems with sensitive charts, too. Our problem charts are the ones where particular staff members are denied access. GE has acknowledged that this is a known problem. We have to put a pop-up alert in the chart to have it unlocked when the patient comes in, then lock it when they're done. NOT ideal!
That whole workflow is poorly designed, anyway. Most staff have access on demand and they have to supply a reason for sensitive chart access, but when a chart has individuals in a deny list, the system opens the chart wide for everyone else. What we want is for everyone to have the usual challenge screen and the denied individuals to be completely blocked, but no such luck. We're on CPS 12.

Julie,
I completely agree. Very poorly designed. I also noticed that it was a chart which mistakenly had one person unable to access the chart. I removed that person and everyone had to enter a reason why but it didn't help with everything being blank. Being a couple days later, I was sure that it would have resolved itself but it had not.
thanks again GE
