Hello,
We are planning on installing SP8. We have installed SP8 in our test environment. One of the issues we noticed is that the CPOE problem list is still having the "Problem list too large" issue. After reaching out to GE we discovered that we will need to install CCC V1.1 The only problem is that when we copy the files to the client folder we lose all of our content/edits. After copying over our existing content in the the client folder the PMH-PH-CCC form lost its functionality specifically in the PMH section.
I guess my question is how do you usually go about updating CCC versions without losing content? Is there an easy way to load our current CCC folder over the new CCC folder without creating issues within the forms? I used KDIFF file comparer and it listed over 1600 new files between the old and new CCC folder.
Thanks for the help.
Mike
I'm interested in knowing the answer to this too. We are getting ready to upgrade to 9.8 with CCC 9.0 and GE told us we need to install the Basic package first before installing 9.0.
I think it's important because while testing the 9.0 CCC files I noticed some of the pediatric files were missing. I guess they are in the basic?
I would love to know the answer to this too. We lost a lot of edits when installing it on our demo server.
I use a directory/file comparison tool and compare the CCC package files to what we have in production. Then I have to manually merge our edits into the new CCC files before installation or replace the new files with our existing files (like the TFE files). It isn't a fun task. This is mostly the "Step 1 - Copy to the Client Folder" content but be careful if you use any of their custom lists, etc. If you have made changes to those you will need to look at the Step 2 folder.
I usually have a folder on my PC with the new CCC stuff, a folder with our current production, compare those folders, and then write to a folder with the merged content that I use when we do the install.
David, thanks for the feedback. I went through the manual process by using KDIFF and that seemed to work fine. It definitely took me some time, but simply copying over the old content does not work. I was able to find a guide on the portal site that walked through KDIFF file merger step by step which made it really easy for me.
Thank you,
Mike
Hello Mike, can you provide the portal link to the KDiff file merger document that you used? I've searched on the portal but no luck finding it. I am in the process of merging files from CCC 8.3.8 to CCC 9.1 for our upcoming SP11 upgrade. There a quite a few files that we've had as custom content for years but in the new files, they look completely different. Also, there are files that I am no longer able to find in the new content package. Did you come across this issue?
Thanks for any help!
