I am trying to set up a report file for a lab label to be printed from the chart. I have gone through Administration and created a new clinical report, and can find the report file with no problem. However, when I am in the patient's chart and go to Print > Labels, I don't see it listed as an option. How can I get it to show on that list?
Also, is there a way to print the label via a button in a form?
It's been many years since I've had to do anything with labels, so I'm not sure where I need to go from here.
Thank you,
Robin Tardif
Robin,
For EMR, there is a file addlbs.rpt which is the default report layout when you go to print labels. No other format layouts seem to be available - I am thinking this is hard-coded somewhere.
Is this the file you are trying to modify?

To my knowledge, there is no way to add a crystal report to any of the print menus. The only thing you MIGHT be able to do is find the crystal report for the mailing labels and replace it with your report, but I doubt that would work.
We print all of our lab labels through EMR-Link which is also our lab interface engine.
I vaguely remembered that we couldn't add to the Print menu a while back, but I was hoping that had changed. Eventually the users will print the labels through Orchard Harvest, but I needed something for now.
Thank you!
We are using labels but we have to print them from scheduling. We have a report named 'Specimen Label'.

Could you just create a Letter and format it in a way that it is a Label or am I not understanding what it is that you need to do?
