Hello,
We purchased Surescripts ACM (Provider to Patient) about a year ago and just can't seem to get our practices to embrace it. Once MU no longer required a CVS to be given to the patient it's been a bigger challenge to get folks to put in on the front burner. I'm wondering if anyone has any good use case examples they would be willing to share?
Patient electronic access comes to mind , It provides copies of lab results , letters etc. via secure message. It draws traffic to your Portal. We actually added SM-CVS into our encounters and once the visit has been signed it automatically sends a copy of that encounter to the email on file requiring no added action from our providers.
We recently started using ACM because it makes the process of transition-of-care-out documents getting sent electronically to outside providers much easier. This is still an MU requirement (Measure 5 Health Information Exchange) and the manual process we had to use for 10% of our patients for the reporting period in 2015 was a pain.
