I wanted to reach out to see if anyone using CPS is doing tele-behavioral health. If so, how are you documenting and tracking that these visits were done?
Thanks, in advance, for any insight you may have!
Hello,
We just recently started doing some telehealth visits between our 2 sites. If the Behavioral Health Consultant in one site is unavailable, we can get the on call BHC at the other site to do the visit.
We have a custom made Behavioral Health standard note that has a "Visit Type" field. They can click a button that says "Telehealth", and the rest of the visit is identical to a regular BH note. We are attempting to track these visits by having the telehealth visit be on the schedule, so it is differentiated from a regular BH visit with schedule.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any specific questions. 🙂

How are you completing these visit? Phone, Skype, your portal software?
We have a video conferencing screen that is set up on a wheeled stand. We refer to this device as the telebot, but I do not think that is the brand of the machine. Using Webex, we can have a BHC log in to a meeting, and have the telebot in the patients room also join the meeting. This gives us video and audio for a face to face experience.
