Does anyone have or use a secure method to send text messages to patients for communication? Other than appointment reminders, we would like to text patients when they are not responsive to phone calls or secure email messages. Any texting solutions out there?
We have been looking at options as well. I contacted some of the other facilities in our area and the vendor they use is TigerText - I have a demo scheduled for tomorrow. This does not have any integration with Centricity and I am not aware of an alternative that does.

We have just started working with Clinically Speaking and they are using a product called Twistle that will securely text or e-mail a patient. I don't have all the details, since we are in the early stages but it might be worth checking out and see if it will work for you.

We looked at a few solutions but each one understandably required both the doctor and the patient to install an app or access a website which basically kills any use for texting. Makes more sense just to make a phone call or use the patient portal.
Still if someone comes up with something that is really easy to use and won't cause questions from patients and doctor frustration I'd be interested.
