Hello all, I am in a community health center doing IT support. I was tasked with finding a way or a report to identify who has viewed a patients chart. I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. All help is appreciated. We are using CPS12.09.1771
Have you tried this?
From inside the Chart Module, while viewing your patient, click on the Print button in the banner at the top. In the subsequent window, click on the Clinical Lists folder in the first window box, click on Chart Access Report in the second window box, put in your date range, under users click the dropdown arrow and select <Select All>. After the users box finishes populating you can then either preview or print the report and this should give you a list of all users that accessed this specific patient's chart during your date range.
Thank you for your help! That was the report I was looking for.
I generate a report that I send to our compliance officer quarterly that I run out of the report modual. Chart Reports / MedicaLogic / Audit Reports / All audited events by user and event.
I then select the date range, Under Events I select anything that has to do with sensitve or confidential / Under users I select All / then I normally will preview the report and export it to a PDF to send to the complaince officer. Hope this help.
This reports gives me information all users who accessed any chart which was confidental or sensitve during a specific time frame.
Thank you for the tip on printing the audit from the pt chart. I asked GE for this functionality and they never told me it exists. It was hard to believe it didn't. I had customized the regular audit report to run by pt but we needed to type in pt name. Just an FYI to anyone running these though, inactive users don't show on these reports. I did report to GE but they haven't corrected yet. In case of a legal audit, you would need to activate a user, run it and then inactivate them again for an accurate report. Thx. Jen
