Is there any way to customize the forms in the Registration component? My Front Office manager wants to add some check boxes that can be checked when certain registration documents have been filled out by the patient (currently, they have to type in the notes about what has been filled out..
If there isn't a way to customize the registration forms, does anyone have good ideas on how to streamline the documentation of documentation (pun intended)?
Thanks,
dB.

Hello DB, Are you talking about the Patient Profile that is printed for patient's to fill out? If so, then Yes, that is a Crystal Report and it can be modified. I have seen customizations to this form including adding the authorization section at the end. Several people can modify this form (including Hayes). Email me if you are interested. Good luck! Which specific forms are you tracking for completion?
I guess I wasn't clear in my original post.
We are using CPS 9.0. In the Registration component, on the "Patient" tab, we would like to add some check boxes at the bottom of the form beneath the patient contact information. Here's a screen shot to help explain what I'm talking about.
On the EMR side of things, I can use VFE to modify the forms. But on the PM side, I'm not sure how to go about it. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
dB.
I have doubts that this is possible, but I know there is an .efm file for each tab of the patient registration in the client folder. If you open the forms subfolder, the specific one you are talking about should be something like regedpat.efm (I am on 10.1.3 though). You won't be able to open it in VFE though as there are no ckt files. I dont think GE intended that we change these so be careful.

Mike, thanks for the input on this. I figured that was the case, but I wanted to probe the collective mind on here. I think I'll poke around and see if I can find the .efm file, but I'm a little leery about trying to change anything.
I'll let you know what I find, though.

I'm sure this goes way into GE-territory and to say it would be unsupported would be a stark understatement. Nevertheless, gibsonmi has sparked my interest. It would be neat to see if any results are obtainable... the area surrounding the form is VB or HTML and is customizable. Many 3rd party developers sell products to integrate into the UI in this area.
