We are trying to find a way we can send the Truven Handouts through our Medfusion portal. The problem we are encountering is the only option is to print the Truven handouts. I contacted Medfusion and their solution was to copy and paste the handout information into either a letter template or a text component template that we can upload/attach and send through the portal. However I'm worried about copyright laws. Does anyone have a workflow they use for something similar to this? I think the problem would be resolved if the handout saved exactly what we print in the chart but instead it's just a link.
I did figure out how to copy and paste the handout information. However, I hit the 2000 characters limit when I pasted it into the Email Message encounter.
We figured we can put it in a letter template and attach it to the outgoing portal message. However I'm worried about copyright laws. How did you copy it? I was just typing it and including every single thing including the copyright info.
I just highlighted everything and pressed Ctrl+C, then went into the Medfusion email message and pressed Ctrl+V.
Ask Medfusion for the Patient Data Export.
It is a print queue you can use to send thing to patients.
I think they would like to retire it, but we still use it.
How exactly does that print queue work?
It appears they have already retired the Patient Data Export.
Hi,
I am new to CHUG..and not sure if you found a solution yet,.... We use CutePDFwriter. It is printed onto your computer system. Does not have to be printed out if not needed. Save into a file, then send. Its free and will save as a PDF document and then can be attached to the Medfusion secure messages.
Also, it will work for any of your documents that need to be sent.
