My recommendation would be to update to CPS 10, especially 10.1.3 version. That version is a much more stable then earlier releases of CPS 10. Just a caution, do a thorough evaluation of your hardware prior to upgrade.
We just upgraded to CPS 10, sp3 and it's horrible!!!

We are considering upgrading to this. What issues have you been having?

I am curious about your specific issues as well. Also, did you upgrade from an earlier version of CPS 10 or did you just now goto the CPS?
Our problems are -
Client freezing. Not much to go on here. Often its a pop up window for additional details of something.
Client spitting out SQL errors somewhat randomly for whatever reason. After working with support many times and their suggested solution of rebooting the app server everyday it points to a JBOSS issue.
Eligibility checks sometimes take forever or simply do not complete.
The schedule module is inefficient to the point were 1GB+ of video memory is suggested/required or we get all kind of weird screen draw problems
Memory leaks on terminal servers.
General slowness/performance issues. As abulsara said make sure you do a through hardware analysis if you make the upgrade. Support wont even help you unless your workstations have 4GB of ram. (don’t expect miracles if you upgrade them tho)
Im just thankful that we are not yet on the chart module!
Red flag:
("Reset CPS Process" simply kills all the CPS threads, hung or otherwise. Sadly it comes in quite handy and our users use it daily)
Edit: For the record I want to say that in general the GE support is very good and very professional. These forums are great for venting. The problem(s) is with the product, not the support!
We have done well on 10.1.3 -- it is better than 10.0 -- 10.1.3 seemed to address our issues -- no real complaints now - we mainly run on a Citrix enviroment just a few fat clients. Do a thorough evaluation of your hardware prior to upgrade.
CPS 11 will be a whole different version -- it will have ICD-10 I plan to wait a while maybe to 11.1.3 or 11.1.4 before I upgrade -- Now CPS 11 will not run on XP (from what I understand) - so windows 7 or 8 computers
CPS 10.1.3 has been fine for us.

Can the person who is having the list of troubles above please contact me at [email protected]. We are doing the sp3 upgrade this coming weekend and need to make sure we aren't doing damage to ourselves. Thanks...
