From Cassandra's Corner - until April 19th they are taking "quick win" enhancement requests that they can incorporate without a lot of programming/testing. Here's the link to the post:

I've given up asking for "quick wins". We've been asking for a spell checker that works in forms for at least 10 years. More granular security for at least as long. Ability to prevent signature of an incomplete note. No action on any of these.
Is this real, or an April Fools joke?
I once asked GE for a "Clinic down" direct phone number (like 972-xxx-xxxx) line so you don't have to go through a menu off the main number and maybe not be cut off. They actually said customers didn't want that. I can set a direct line on my own phone system within a matter of minutes and leave the existing menu infrastructure in place "for the customers who want the extra work." When I call the system down line I am always under a fair amount of pressure to get things back up and running ASAP. Wasting time pressing buttons after mandatory voice prompts is not what we pay support for. That would have been a quick win for them but they exerted extra effort telling me they were not interested then just setting it up. That was GE, though. Maybe Virence/Athena would be a tad more sensible.

It's real. Announcement was made in Cassandra's Corner about it before April 1.
Those links won't work for me, but we very much need a check box in registration to show whether someone has consented for their information to be shared in our regional health information exchange (HIE). Should be simple. We are required by the county/state to report on the number of patients consented, but there isn't even a way to mark it in the system.
How do we become a "member" of Cassandra's Corner so that we can contribute to this?
When you log into the Virence(GE) portal, and select a Community, you will see in the lower right hand part of your screen a section with two "tabs" (right under Resources) with My Communities and Available Communities. If you aren't a member of Cassandra's Corner and IdeaZone, they should both be listed on the Available Communities and should have an option to "join" them.
Saying that other customers don't want something, or I'm the only person who has asked for something was a fairly standard response from GE to enhancement requests. I guess we'll find out whether under Athena Health's leadership, they will be more responsive.
If you want to join Cassandra's Corner or IdeaZone you have to first click on "Available Communities" on the Community tab. Then you will see the list.
Pdangelo, for your state requirement, I would think that you could report on that a few ways. You could just add a checkbox to your existing forms to store it as an observation term, or create a new document type to scan a paper agreement into the chart. Either way, you could report on that at the end of the year pretty easily.
Thanks,
Wade
