The waiting list is a very manual tool. It is helpful but there is nothing automated about it. It's nice to be able to set priority, preferences, and date ranges. You are welcome to emaili me if you have specific questions. [email protected]
We use the waiting list for appointment cancellations or "bumps" and a waiting list. No problems with functionality - we love it.

What version are you using? We keep getting the cryptic application error message.

We just upgraded last week to CPS 12 and I have not seen errors relating to the Waiting list. We have used this functionality since CPS 9.5
Correction to my last post - I have now found an error in the the CPS 12 system. When changing a providers schedule in the Administration module, it patient's were already scheduled, a message would appear asking if you would like to transfer overbooked patients to the waiting list. If I chose yes, a box would appear that would allow me to choose the waiting list to transfer the patient to as well as the reason for the cancellation of the appointment.
In going thru this process today, my selection chosen for the waiting list I wanted to move the patients to did not "stick" The field goes blank even though I have made a selection. I have started a case wth GE.
This means we are back to manually moving these patients to the list. 🙁
