We are finally going to make the jump to CPS 12. Before I begin configuring test servers, which version does everyone suggest going to? Which service pack is the most stable so far?

We are on sp10 and have far fewer issues than the prior sp we were on. I've read a few posts on here about sp11 having some issues. Maybe someone else that has made that jump can chime in.

Well, we went to SP11 because we were led to believe that we needed it to be able to complete our Meaningful Use reporting, unfortunately, it looks like I will probably have to create some SQL reports of my own to be able to complete this.
With that being said, in the past 3 years that I have been with the company, SP11 is by far the worst version of CPS that I have witnessed, we have had more problems with it than any other version, especially the Chart Locking issues, that according to GE may take up to 24 hours to fully clear after I have removed all locks in the database on a patient/chart record.
I even had a GE tech tell me that SP11 is "crap". I'm just glad that a couple of our providers that were a little short fused left the organization last year, otherwise, I think we would have seen a computer, literally, being thrown out the window.
Yes we had issues on SP10, but it was a far cry better version than we have seen with SP11.

Currently on SP10 and for us it is WAY better than SP8. 40+% reduction in crashing for us. I'm planning on skipping SP11 and going to SP12.

SP10 is probably your best bet. We are SP11 and it's a disaster. We've had to reinstall the application twice since upgrading and have a host of other issues with it. We had issues with SP10, but nothing like SP11. Like Bovie says, skip SP11 and maybe go to SP12 if GE fixes any of the issues with SP11.

we are newly in sp11...... we are having weird random issues. CPS closes on its own leaving jboss window up. freezing etc....... doesn't affect everyone. just random people through out the day...issue is we are on citrix servers so when this one person freezes and crashes it causes other users in their servers to freeze up...... its a hot mess.....
