So you have created a New Group (for Alerts/Flags, or Rx Renewals, etc). It is now underneath "My Folder".
I keep losing the contents of this group, or the group itself - and then have to re-create it.
Is this file stored somewhere, so if it disappears, I can easily put it back?
I would love to also know the answer to this. We have told our users to make a folder with all their providers in them for the RX renewals workflow and that folder always becomes empty..
FINDDLGPREFS table
Just wondering if this has been reported to Support and if so, what did they have to say?
Linda
rfisher, where can i find this?
I swear, i create personal folders and the whole thing disappears, or its empty.
I havent personally reported it. But my coworkers say they have, and GE Support only told them how to properly close CPS, to prevent this. Which does not work or matter.
So here is what we found at our clinic. This may not be the same issue, but it is easy to test out. If you create the folders, and then CPS closes unexpectedly, crashes, or even is not "logged out" properly, the database will not save your folders.
The only way to be SURE you could keep your customizations is to:
- Make your custom folders
- Log out of CPS with the "Log Out" button (after it has logged out, close the log out window.)
- log back in and check your folders to see if they are still there.
If our staff did a full "Proper" log out, they did not lose the changes. We confirmed with our SQL server that the tables were not updating until the log out, which was why a crash or closing improperly was causing a failure. Give this a try, and if you still lose the folders, then it is a separate issue, but probably related to the trigger for SQL to update not actually firing.
Good luck! 🙂
Daniel C.
What version are you on? We have 12.3.1 in test and are scheduled to upgrade in Nov. I'm planning on doing so testing so I'm also wondering how often do they disappear? Is it daily, every time they log out and back in, etc?
Anyone else seeing this besides Angie and Sarah?
Linda
Angela, We found the same thing as Daniel C when we opened a case with GE in February. Per GE, users should add to their My Folder, then log out by going to File->Exit or click X button in CPS Main Menu Screen to completely exit application.
Thanks
Sarah
This is a table in the database.
Do you know where i can find that table in the database?
And if i lose my entries again, can i easily put it back?
