I need some guidance from the CHUG collective.
SCENARIO:
Brand new Win10 laptop, installing EMR 9.8 Evaluation-Stand-alone. Install seems to go ok, but when I try to launch the application signing in with HWINSTON, I am getting the following error:
EndpointNotFoundException: There was no endpoint listening at https://localhost:9443/Default/ws/Services/common that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details.
I have seem some past conversations on the forum about this but nothing that truly identified the cause and solution. I originally was getting the SSL/TLS error that the most recently address with the fix presented by GE yesterday.
I have installed, uninstalled and installed the EMR 9.8 a couple times with no change in results.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this so that I can back to editing and testing VFE forms?
I am way out of my area here but I have done some successful stand-alone installs, so others may have better responses - but - I doubt that EMR 9.8 is supported on Windows 10. If I were you I would try Windows 7. I do know the CPS client will not install on Windows 10, and has trouble with IE 11. You could also have local firewall/antivirus blocking the application/port.

What do you know - in my quarantine this morning there was a GE email about loosing connectivity after applying MS Updates KB 3161608 and KB 3161606. Info at

that is true but if you use chrome and the IE tab plugin you should be good to go with Windows 10.
The GE document addresses a SSL/TLS connectivity issue. I have already applied these fixes to my local install but it did not resolve the localhost:9443 endpoint not listening issue. I am assuming that this is a firewall issue but have not figured it out yet.
Thanks for you responses.
You may need to look at Performance Monitor and see if any other programs are already using that port. Try killing as many programs as you can, like Skype, etc. Also, I don't know if it is your problem, but I've seen Oracle client issues. I ended up copying everything in the Oracle\bin directory to the jboss\jsw directory.
That GE fix is for a jboss service that isn't listening on 9443, so I don't think it applies. There is another update that I've seen issues with. Here is some more info:

The registry fix works for me.
I have gotten official confirmation that EMR 9.8 Stand-Alone is not certified to work under Windows10. The GE Support Technician that I was working with confirmed with Engineering that EMR 9.10 Stand-alone will support Windows10.
