Is anyone using XenServer 6.5? We are trying to do some testing with it and the EMR client is very slow. This is not something we have seen with XenServer 6.2. Also, EMR 9.10 says that XenApp 7.5 is supported. Anyone running on 7.6 now?
Thanks
David,
I'm running 6.5 currently with CPS. For us it doesn't seem to be any slower than fat clients. Any specific part slower or does it all seem slower?
I'm planning on making the jump from 6.5 to 7.6 even though it isn't supported yet. Word is EMR 9.10 and 12.2 will ONLY support 7.5 and 7.6 thus leaving us no upgrade path besides an early upgrade.
Derek, you are running XenServer 6.5? On the same hardware, a client is taking 4 minutes to launch instead of 40 seconds. We are stumped as to why upgrading from 6.2 to 6.5 would make a difference. GE only talks about XenApp, hasn't tested XenServer versions.
Sorry I'm blind I saw 7.6 and was like I'm planning a XenApp upgrade to 7.6. I just run XenApp. Used to run XenServer way back in the day but when we bought our SAN we decided to buy but VMware at that time. I'm assuming you cut out any over provisiong of RAM or CPU with the newer XenServer version?
Do you have a source for this rumor? We are on XenApp 6.0 and did not have plans to upgrade when we go to 9.10. If we need to have those plans, I we need to let finance know.
Yes the system requirements for cps 12.2 which I believe are already posted in the GE service portal.
Good afternoon!
We are currently on 12.2 SP1 and running XenApp 7.13 - we have many complaints with slowness when pulling up a patients chart and encounter forms (customized). What are your guys specs for each CTX server? How many users do you allow per server?
I do 8 cores and 32GB of Ram.
