Just wanted to know if anyone has tested or using the Microsoft surface pro with cps 12?
Hi,
I have a Surface Pro for personal use, so I've not tried using CPS on it. I think CPS would run fine on it performance-wise. I would assume you'd want to use one of the snap-on keyboards since the onscreen one would be slow.
We have a few CPS users that use Microsoft Surface with keyboards in a Citrix environment that do not have any performance issues at all. Works well.
EVEN WITH THE 8.1 OS
Yes, even with the 8.1 OS
Our site tested CPS 11 on the Surface Pro 2 last year. We could only get it to work with the product via Citrix - fat client did not work for us with any combination of installed components or compatibility mode.
The local installation crashes immediately when opening the Chart module. Our hope was to use it for the front mounted integrated camera and local USB support, but we had to scrap it.
I was informed by support they have certified the 8.0 os for CPS 12
CPS 11 did not work with 8.0 OS on fat clients. We are now on CPS version 12.0.3.1383, and we are able to use it with fat clients as well as Citrix, no crashes.

Thanks for the great info! We're not touching 12 until the dust settles, but this will be a major workflow improvement for several of our providers when we eventually make the move.
