The 12.3.3 release notes indicate a new bug introduced in CPS 12.3.2:
- SPR: 71827
- Description: Refill requests that come in with even slightly different demographic information that what is in the Centricity database (such as address 1 or 2 different) fail with a 700 type error.
I am interpreting this as saying "if the patient's address in pharmacy system differs from the patient's address in CPS, the eRX Renewal will fail". This sounds like it will affect a large number of eRX Renewal Requests, as the pharmacy system could have small differences while saying the same thing (ex: 1234 Harcourt Road vs 1234 Harcourt Rd).
Have you upgraded to CPS 12.3.2 or higher? If yes, have you experienced this particular error? I'm hoping you all can tell me that I'm misinterpreting the SPR, and/or that this really is not that big of a deal. Thanks!
Yes, and it is a very big deal. It only happens with EPCS for us though, not for all prescriptions. The 700 errors are one of the major reasons why we went from 12.3.2 to 12.3.3 because it helps with some of them. We basically had to tell our nurses to deny any controlled substance and rebuild as a new prescription so it wouldn't fail. And that really messes up the medication list but it was our only option. Still have the error some with SP3 but not like it was.
Hi Amy,
We are upgrading from 12.3.1 to 12.3.3 primarily because of all of the 700 epcs errors we experience on a daily basis. I'm wondering how significant the upgrade was in resolving these errors and if you ran into any new eprescribing issues in the process?
The new athena portal is horrendous and none of links have been working for me so I'm having trouble getting finding any info on this sp aside from the release notes.
Thanks!
Amanda
