We use Biscom fax and C-EMR, but the reports from Biscom don't provide information from the EMR. Is there any way to find out if a particular document has been faxed and to where/when? Is there an audit log of documents faxed by a user or sent to a particular fax #? I see "fax a report" as an auditable event, but there is nothing logged. Any ideas?
We configured Biscom to send fax confirmation back to the chart. It creates a fax confirmation document that looks like the text below. You can choose to include an image of the fax or not. Biscom support should be able to help with this. You have to set up a LinkLogic interface, but it's not too complicated. Our staff loves it. Before, our surgery schedulers were routinely printing fax confirmations from the fax machine and scanning them into the chart.
