Does anyone know of a way to print out a flowsheet view that has multiple obs terms? Our OB provider wants to print out the prenatal flowsheet and what is built into the form does not print. Thank you
That type of functionality would require custom coding to accomplish, especially if it is to be presented in a meaningful manner. Dr. Michael Thompson created and posted a sample of this type of workflow for prenatal tracking in the Marketplace. You can download it for free. I have also created several custom versions for clients over the years, to include SuiteRomeo's prenatal flow sheet workflows.
The base premise is to group obsterms by date and present them in a handout or letter using a table format for organization. If you are able to follow the example in Dr. Thompson's content and revise it for your own needs, then you have your solution. If you need assistance, I would be happy to discuss your needs with you.
I have created forms that build into what looks like a letter, and the the completed encounter can print. Creating something like:
The results of your recent tests are as follows (which did not paste nicely; lost tabs?):
Your labs were essentially normal, although your cholesterol is elevated and your risk of heart attack or stroke in the next 10 years is 27.3%.
Cholesterol Tests:
Total Cholesterol 216 Normal 110-199 04/02/2018
HDL (good cholesterol) 52 Normal >40 04/02/2018
Triglyceride 188 Normal 40-250 04/02/2018
LDL (bad cholesterol) 136 Normal <160 04/02/2018
10-year ASCVD Event Risk: 27.3 % Goal <7.5%, (note 1)
Diabetes Tests:
Glucose Random: 6 Normal 60-150 08/06/2016
HgbA1c: 7 Normal 4.3 - 5.6 08/07/2016
I have also written the logic in letters/handouts to print many OBS codes out.
Both somewhat tedious, but can be done.
By the way - I found it sometimes easier to write MEL in WordPad and then paste in GE, as this allowed me to easily copy/paste MEL simpler, and adjust OBS Code names.
