When i do an advanced search for Pure Hypercholesterolemia (just using the dropdown, not the magnifying glass), it shows up as E78.01, which is familia.
When we click the magnifiying glass initially, the problem Pure Hypercholesterolemia shows up as E78.00 which is correct, but when we click on it, the code actually changes to E78.01 which is not correct.
What is the world here is going on? Of Course the blackbird problem search, which is much better actually works correctly and the problem is listed as E78.00
Trying to add some picutures of the issue, but the add media isn't working for me right now.
We are seeing this too! Try to enter E11.9, and it will always redirect you to E11.00. Only way to get around it is to use the smart list or custom list.
oh but they told me it was only with that 1 problem code we were using.... I am so shocked to hear otherwise 😉
We are seeing this too and it is many codes. It is very dangerous as if you don't catch it you have assigned the wrong dx code to the patient. An example is acute abdomen vs acute abdominal pain these are two totally different dx but before your eyes it changes on you to acute abdomen.... there are many other like this as well. I have been told by support they are aware of the issue but since this is the only workflow i am aware of that has the most specific icd 10 code to pick. The other workflow gives you less specific codes which is not acceptable for billing as of Oct 1 st - how are you handling this issue in your offices?
