We have cps12 sp5 in production right now with lot of issues. Instability being the biggest one. Users get booted out multiple times a day with "no endpoint listening" error. We updated to sp6 yesterday and today we get that error as soon as we log into centricity.
Thinking about rebuilding the app server. Any recommendation on the rebuild since this will be my first?
The only option would be to roll back to sp5.
Thank you
same issue continues after rebuilding new app server
We have EMR 9.8 and not CPS, so I'm not sure if our experiences will be of benefit to you. Last week we installed CQR and immediately began having the "no endpoint listening error". It took GE support about 10 hours and a myriad of various support engineers to set things right again. They determined that CQR corrupted JBOSS in some way and reinstalling JBOSS on our app server did not help. The final determination was that the previous version of JBOSS (9.5 version) was not uninstalled correctly leaving bits and pieces of the old installation to co-mingle with the new one. The "hybrid" JBOSS installation was causing it not to uninstall correctly.
Once support was able to manually uninstall all JBOSS components and perform a new install, everything was good. The key, according to support, is that during the upgrade once the uninstall is done, the server must be rebooted BEFORE attempting to install the new version. If not, bad things happen. I hope this is helpful...I don't want anyone to go through our pain.
