Centricity EMR Application Coordinator
The Centricity EMR Application Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the electronic medical records software’s functionality through ongoing support in areas such as updates, application management, training, design, and delivery of outcomes. The EMR Application Coordinator is expected to deliver the highest level of performance and satisfaction providing for a best practice IT approach to solutions and support services and assisting in realizing the full potential of the EHR solution. The individual in this position may assist in the design and customization with the application as it applies to the needs of the specialty. The EMR Application Coordinator will work with physicians and clinical staff with specific client needs, serve as a resource to the staff on effective usage of the Centricity Electronic Medical Records (CEMR) /Centricity Practice Solution Practice Management (CPS PM) applications, and serve as general point of contact for the Help Desk with respect to questions concerning supported applications. The EMR Application Coordinator should be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and design and implement improvement plans of action. Strong communication skills, experience with implementation and optimization of an EHR system, and the ability to effectively consult with individuals and manage other applications specialists.
Responsibilities:
• Possess a comprehensive product knowledge for the Centricity EMR (Oracle version preferred) and Practice Management applications.
• Work with the applications team members and departments to understand their business and to accurately identify their needs.
• Make modifications and customizations to the curriculum and training methods to ensure the content meets the training implementation efforts.
• Identify topics to be included in new hire training and refresher training.
• Update documentation related to end-user training materials to incorporate new system features, implementation information and methodology.
• Responding to curriculum-related questions. * Evaluate and document work flows to ensure the most efficient and effective use of the system.
• Independently carry out other assignments, as directed, to support the overall goals of the practice.
• Develop strong partnerships and collaborative relationships with the team members.
• Deliver all core and advanced application support and training.
• Support end users at clinical sites, providing onsite, telephonic or virtual assistance. Work hours may include occasional weekends and evenings.
• Work with practice managers, implementation team members, clinical trainers and other departments to identify training needs, drives course development, and present topics as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a training, education, clinical or technical background preferred (combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted in lieu of degree).
Experience:
• 2-5 years’ training and curriculum development experience; preferred for the healthcare setting
• 2+ years’ experience with GE Centricity (CPS EMR or C-EMR) products preferred
• Clinical background with physician practice experience is a plus
• Dynamic interpersonal skills to interact with clincal staff, physicians, and community representatives
Travel Requirements:
• Ability to travel as needed (may be up to 40%)
