Centricity EHR Practice Analyst / Telecommunications Specialist
Job Location: Columbus, OH
Job Description Works with a team of Clinical and Technical staff to perform a variety of IT tasks. The tasks include partnering with the EHR Project Manager and end-users on the Centricity Practice Solutions (CPS) EHR project, producing technical specifications, producing high quality computer programming code, adhering to IT system change management processes, completing system tests, troubleshooting integration with existing production systems, participating in system upgrades. The EHR Programmer will be participating in new implementations. Also responsible for Telecommunications systems including telephone systems, voice mail, call forwarding options and conference calling arrangements.
Responsibilities:
1)Creates and maintains forms for CPS including Visual Form Editing and Crystal based EHR forms.
2) Provides form support for users during the implementation of the Centricity EHR. Possesses full knowledge of system design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, forms and interfaces for CPS product.
3) Demonstrates proficiency in Crystal reports, Microsoft Access and Centricity’s Analytic Reporting. 4) Supports assigned non-production and production environments: troubleshoots technical application issues, documents and manages incoming requests whether handled internally in IS or with a vendor. Understands the interdependencies and internal workings of an integrated system. Also, provides back-up support for other team members as needed.
5) Participates in on-call (rotating) coverage.
6) Manages telecommunication systems, including telephone system, voice mail services, call forwarding options, and conference call capabilities and fax server.
7) Develops and maintains policies and procedures on telecommunication systems. Develops training manuals for each system.
8) Provides technical support for telecommunication system to include diagnosing and resolving errors.
9) Provides reports to Administrative staff as needed regarding telephone usage, queue wait times, and other key metrics as needed.
10) May produce and /or maintain project plans. Facilitates project management activities to insure that project milestones and deadlines are met. Manages and tracks to milestone schedules and deliverables. Reports on status of projects.
11) Participates in ongoing system, technical, and industry related classes and seminars.
12) Achieves and maintains application certification in accordance with departmental and organizational standards.
13) Maintains strict adherence to the Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians Confidentiality policy.
14) Complies with all Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians Clinic Policies.
15) Responsible for maintaining all program interfaces including, Dell Cloud ( CT) , TIMS ( audiology) , and CliniSync for the Ohio Health Information Partnership.
16) Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients.
17) Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our patients and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards.
18) Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
19) Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
Qualifications Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field. In the absence of a Bachelor’s Degree, 5 years in addition to the experience shown below. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Visual Form Editing, Crystal Reports, Mule Expression Language (MEL)
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Solid technical diagnostic and programming skills. Experience working with HL7 and an industry known interface engine. Excellent communications skills (written and oral), presentation skills, interpersonal skills, project management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products. Experience: 3 years proven experience working in an Information Services Dept. or software vendor organization within the healthcare industry. Centricity maintenance and implementation experience very helpful.
