Job Description
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for providing operational leadership for Village Health Partners by working with the President and other management to establish and execute goals and direct strategies and objectives for the organization. The COO will report to and is responsible for executing the policies of the Board of Directors. Will oversee the management team, providing direction and leadership to all practice operations across multiple clinic locations. Coordinates ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance the level of clinical quality, education, and innovation for the organization in order to achieve our mission of delivering accessible, convenient, and quality medical care.

Essential Skills and Functions
Administrative
- Maintain a working knowledge of developments and trends that may impact the scope of practice and prepare and implement responsive strategic action plans.
- Oversee the financial practices of the group to include providing input to and operating within budgetary guidelines.
- Provide leadership and management to ensure an effective management team.
- Maximize operational efficiencies in order to provide the highest quality of healthcare at an affordable cost in order to achieve our goal of helping communities thrive.
- Participate in the development of new facilities to meet the needs of the medical group.
- Strong background in policy and procedure development for a growing medical group.
- Foster a collaborative team approach
Supervisory
- Work alongside the President to supervise and mentor the management team to include Site Directors, HR Director, Communications Director, Call Center Manager, and physician leaders.
Quality
- Oversee laboratory and ancillary services performed within office setting, including, but not limited to:
o OSHA
o CLIA
o CPR
- Oversee infection control and safety programs in the clinic settings
Teamwork
- Ability to provide operational leadership to other team members including
o Clinic Management
o Providers
o Clinical & Administrative Staff
o Outside Business Partners
- Communicate effectively with team members and patients
- Maintain confidentially of patient and personnel information
- Participate on Village Health Partners Committees
- Participate in Board of Director meetings
- Executive leadership in the healthcare environment
- Experience in healthcare operations, board relations, financial management, capital and operating budgets, community relations, and other areas as needed
- Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills and professional demeanor
- Experience in an organization utilizing electronic medical record systems
- Fluent in English
- Excel under pressure with attention to detail
- Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to exercise high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making.
