JOB TITLE: Clinical Systems Analyst I
EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director, Information Technology
DIVISION: Technology
GENERAL PURPOSE
The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting all aspects of CCRM’s clinical software and serves as a liaison between CCRM IT and clinical staff to provide EMR implementation and maintenance, hands-on development and end user support. Works with other IT team members to improve service, user knowledge and user self-sufficiency while providing the highest level of customer care. The individual will ensure all clinical systems, including the EMR, meet the needs of clinical staff while achieving the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operations
o Serve as an EMR super user / subject matter expert for all practice management operations
o Perform administration of clinical applications including access permissions and rights assignment
o Develop and maintain relationships with clinical staff including physicians, nurses and office staff
o Design clinical content in the EMR to support care processes (including documentation, ordering, reporting, alerts and notification actions.)
o Manage and resolve complex EMR system problems in coordination with internal stakeholders
o Format, design, and build relevant content for online forms, mapping data collection and clinical workflows documentation.
o Identify data integrity issues and recommendations to correct
o Manage ongoing support requests and administrative needs of users, troubleshoot and test/implement fixes
o Perform ad hoc data query downloads
• Process Discovery and Management
o Develop and document current and future state processes.
o Work with various departments and end users to identify, document, communicate, and enhance standard business processes
• Reporting
o Modify necessary reports as required by various organization departments
• Training and Documentation
o Analyze, recommend, develop and implement reliable and efficient means of navigating through the EMR.
o Keep materials up-to-date, coordinate new user onboarding and ongoing training sessions
• Vendor Interaction
o Integration of clinical interfaces to the EMR
• Editing, testing, verification
• Other responsibilities as necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Requires a college degree in healthcare, nursing, information technology, business administration, a related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a practice management setting
• Two to three years’ experience in systems analysis related to clinical applications
• Experience working in a technical role with practice management systems and electronic medical records
• Experience with healthcare operations, including a basic understanding of different departments and their role in healthcare delivery
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
DESIRED SKILLS
• Experience with GE Centricity Practice System and GE Electronic Medical Record
• Visual Form Editor (VFE) programming experience
• Knowledge/experience in ICD-9/10 and CPT coding guidelines Perform current and future state workflow analysis to improve comprehension and adoption of system functionality

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical office environment; on-call work required
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Ability to operate a computer for extended periods
