EMR / PM Training and Implementation Specialist

IPS (Independent Physician Solutions) A Ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System Training and Support Specialist Reporting to the Director of Training and Implementation this position will be responsible for training, support and implementation efforts of the electronic medical records (EMR) system of the ambulatory physician offices in the Cleveland/Canton area. This individual will be called upon to ensure client satisfaction with the PM/EMR in both employed and affiliated physician practice groups. The position will be closely aligned with the IT department to enable the transition of physicians and clinics to the PM/EMR infrastructure. The position responds to requests for training, implementation assistance, and process improvement as needed in physician offices.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Provides application-level system administration
• Coordinates training for new users
• Develop training materials
• Ensure Meaningful Use is attained by trained physicians
• Monitor physicians regarding Meaningful Use.
• Assist in set up of PM and EMR for new clients.
• Serves as a subject matter expert for use of the EMR
• Trains staff and physicians on PM and EMR systems.
• Assists with the facilitation of on-boarding of new physicians and new physician offices
• Collaborates with other disciplines, the IT Team and strategic business/clinical partners (i.e. physician practices, application vendors, outsourcers, etc.) in the support and management of PM/EMR services.
• Consistently strives to achieve complete customer satisfaction and takes appropriate action when customer satisfaction is not achieved.
• Demonstrates conflict management skills by reacting promptly and effectively in accordance with organizational policies.
• Maintains high moral and ethical leadership principles

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed:
• Knowledge at a level attained through significant billing and medical office experience.
• Significant work experience in the physician/clinical setting where EMR/PM is deployed and in use.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate with end users, vendors and other regional personnel. Ability to work effectively as a team player and work with people of all backgrounds and at all levels.
• Ability to research, organizes, analyzes, and synthesizes data to support effective decision-making. Ability to use all necessary computer software efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to take initiative, use sound judgment, make independent decisions and work with tight deadlines.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL: Must be able to use proper equipment and be able to sit or stand in an office environment for an extended period of time. Manual dexterity for using a calculator and computer keyboard and mouse.
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a normal office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and patients. Work may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Some travel may be required. Light lifting, less than 20 pounds.
