EMR Application Analyst Job Description
The EMR Application Analyst provides application and reporting analytical support for GE Centricity. The analyst is responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of related application functions. Responsible for continually improving the system through upgrades, expansion and ongoing development. Must be able to work effectively with staff and management in determining the most effective and efficient means of utilizing the computer system.
Job Functions:
Maintains and supports GE Centricity EMR;
Supports GE Centricity EMR users;
Supports third party modules such as SureScripts, Indexlogic. Winscribe.
Responsible for system upgrades and post upgrade support;
Creates and maintains templates utilizing GE Encounter Form Editor, Visual Form Editor or CCC Text File Editor;
Maintain CCC Forms;
Supports daily interface operations by working line items and errors within Link Logic.
Supports EMR scanning functions;
Maintains application’s master files;
Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction with clients, internal and external;
Effectively communicate the status of tasks/projects and ensure timely and quality delivery of all deliverables;
Support application tasks as needed;
Required Skills
The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work independently and as a member of a team and with users, management and staff; organizational, analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
Required Experience
This position requires: a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration or Healthcare preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience; three or more years of functional experience in GE Centricity EMR, GE Centricity Practice Solutions, or GE Logician is required; additional experience with MEL Programming language,
