Sisters of CharitySis Sisters of charity is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Application Trainer.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Applications Trainer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and delivery of the training program for all Sisters of Charity applications. A primary focus of this position is on GE Centricity Practice Solution EMR and PM. In addition, other systems chosen by Sisters of Charity.
This individual will create and maintain all training materials for the designated applications as well as deliver and oversee the training classes for new employees for these applications. In addition, this individual will serve as a liaison to the IT Application Manager and Technology team to provide Subject Matter Expert assistance for testing of all changed or new Centricity. Also they will test and feedback during the implementation of new software. This is a key activity because the subsequent training documentation and training classes for these applications will also be created by the Applications Trainer. The Trainer will create the user guides and training course materials and lead training classes for the designated groups of trainees.
Essential Functions
- Assist in development of operational best practices and document those policies as they relate to all IS applications.
- Create and maintain training manuals for all Sisters of Charity applications with special focus on GE Centricity.
- Create and maintain class presentation materials for new hire training and refresher training for the IS applications.
- Schedule, coordinate and lead yearly refresher courses for each applications training classes.
- Schedule, coordinate and lead recurring onboarding training courses for all new hires.
- Suggest and discuss possible process improvements with the appropriate team members as needed.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the technology team during the implementation of new software’s or GE Centricity updates based on the Systems Trainers experience with the software and business process knowledge.
- Communication and Public Speaking – Requires excellent oral communications skills and comfort speaking and leading groups of trainees.Examples of Duties (this list does not include all duties assigned)
- Responsible for the development and facilitation of training programs.
- Assess the training and organizational development needs.
- Conducts end-user training for go-live of new applications and upgrades.
- Assist with application upgrade process to ensure end users understand feature changes as well as maintenance windows that may impact end user functionality.
- Participate as an active key member of the clinic and its clients’ implementation team to understand workflows, configuration/design decisions, and policy considerations, and to assist with project coordination and site readiness.
- Collaborate with clinic leadership and users to identify opportunities for efficiencies in clinic operations, clinical practice support, and improved processes.
- Provide daily support to end users through troubleshooting, coaching, and consulting.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures relating to the proper use of applications used within the practice.
- Work effectively with software vendors.
- Attends meetings and participates in committees as required.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Prepare training related materials.
- Provide leadership within the classroom or virtual classroom environment.
- Report training metrics and generate training related reports.
- Work on ad hoc projects and events.

- Must possess critical thinking skills and have the ability to analyze complex situations.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and other possible presentation tools.
- Must have strong interpersonal, documentation and communication skills and the ability to speak and give presentations to training groups.
- Willingness and desire to learn new applications processes.

- High school diploma or higher
- Clinical degree LPN, RN preferred
- College degree preferred
- Formal training or education in Learning & Development and Computer Applications trainingExperience
- Strong knowledge and prior use of GE Centricity CPS, EMR, or PM is a strongly preferred.
- Organization- Strong organizational skills for scheduling and coordinating of training classes
- Prior training or public speaking experience
