Comprehensive Orthopaedics, a medium sized Orthopaedic Group Practice spread over 4 towns in Central Connecticut, with approximately 88 providers and staff, including Surgeons, Chiropractor, Physiatrist, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Walk In Center, DME Program, and a Board of Directors interested in continued growth, seeks an Executive Director with at least 10 years of experience, love of the work, knowledgeable and up to date on government and CMS Rules and Regulations, and has a palpable, positive outlook on life and vision for the future.
Our current Executive Director will retire this year and we seek someone who will continue to grow us and take us to the next level. As we are dedicated to our providers, management team and staff, we will wait for the right individual to join us.
If you have 10 years of experience, appropriate degree, knowledge of Orthopaedics, are fully capable of producing a P&L, thoroughly conversant with work flow and process for billing office, charges and coding, surgical process, appeals, government alphabet soup (MU, PQRS, CQM etc.), and have strong knowledge of the business of medicine, as well as having a compassionate, and dedicated work ethic, we would like to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities
- Develops and implements annual goals and objectives
- Ensures effective relationship management with all Physicians, Therapists, Management Team and Staff in planning and improving health services.
- Fosters the participation of staff, Management Team, Medical directors, Board of Directors and other providers in planning, implementing and evaluating services to ensure safe and high quality care.
- Directs all Clinic quality management activities, including reviewing data, problem recognition, and identifying solutions, implementing and ensuring the Clinic’s compliance across all towns.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem identification and resolution is patient care areas.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to Management and Staff Development and satisfaction.
- Works directly with physicians, medical directors and Clinic Managers and Staff to assess needs and ensure maximum utilization of technology and resources.
- Establishes productivity goals and manages attainment of those goals.
- Identifies, analyzes and makes recommendations for the acquisition of new technology.
- Keeps the Medical Directors and Board of Directors informed of all events, activities and problems which will or may have an effect on center operations.
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with area insurers
- Negotiates and evaluates all Contracts and recommends for approval.
- Understands “hands on” the work flow and management as well analysis required for running an efficient medical billing operation.
- Understands financial metrics, deltas, benchmark comparisons, and analysis at the Executive Director level, and can explain as well as provide visual reports utilizing technology in presentation to a Board of Directors monthly.
- Ability to assess local, state and national events and trends to implement processes and programs ahead of the curve
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- 10 years’ experience in a similar position, Master’s and CMPE preferred
- Excellent written and spoken English to present to Board of Directors, Officiate at Meetings for staff and others, and ability to write process, protocols, training, scripts, whatever is required.
- Knowledge of Spanish or other language always helpful to the Practice
- Superior Computer skills – experience utilizing MS Suite, excel, power point, presentation software, whatever else you have, and EMR/PM systems. We are a Centricity Practice
- Must have Financial Management Experience, P&L, Billing Office Reporting and Analysis, Pro Forma, Quarterlies, Physician Compensation, Contracts, Step Down Plans
- Must have excellent history of developing and mentoring your Managers and Staff
