Healthcare Application Support/Informatics Analyst
Description:
1) Maintain all tables/files/dictionaries in Centricity
2) Develop and maintain provider scheduling templates
3) Develop and maintain provider documentation templates
4) Run MU reports monthly, monitor progress and provide updates to management team
5) Monitor interfaces (this may be more when lab interfaces are in place)
6) Provide “help desk” services to staff.
- Troubleshoot problems, resolve if possible
- Liaison with GE
- Liaison with IT vendor
7) Train new staff
8) Reporting
- Run monthly reports
- Develop ad hoc reports
9) Centricity Updates
- Review release notes
- Identify impact to clinical, financial, operational aspects of the organization.
- Prepare and present plans to management for training of staff related to upgrades
10) Audits
- Periodic random audits of EHR charts for inappropriate access review
- QA – identification of errors via reporting (i.e., run a report of all patients that do not have xyz and should have.
10) develop and maintain training materials related to Centricity
11) Train new staff on centricity applications
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience supporting GE Centricity CPS version 9 or greater, and EMR version 9.5 or greater
- Experience in table maintenance, template design and building
- Experience in training and development of training documents
- Intermediate to advanced level of use with the following software applications:
- MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, Visio, Project, Outlook
- Crystal Reports
- Minimum 5 years in a healthcare environment, with clinical background preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Knowledge of Meaningful Use guidelines preferred.
- Experience working with all levels of staff, including physicians and senior leadership
