Job Title: EMR/Helpdesk Analyst
Reports to: Information Systems Manager
Job Summary:
Responsible for the Electronic Medical Records system and associated subsystems; provides system-level support of multi-user operating systems; consults with users to identify current operating procedures, workflows, capabilities, and limitations; recommends new workflows and procedural changes to improve efficiency and provides basic helpdesk and desktop support.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Provides EMR and Practice Management support as well as basic helpdesk and desktop support.
2. Collects information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems.
3. Define the goals of the system, outlining systems capabilities and processes.
4. Writes detailed instructions and workflows for end users.
5. Works as a team member with other technical staff, to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
6. Maintains system documentation.
7. Makes design changes to EMR templates to maintain accuracy, ease data entry, increase efficiency, and enhance usability.
8. Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
9. Oversees training of EMR users.
10. Evaluates system specifications for business requirements.
11. Works closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs.
12. Performs related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
· 2 Years of experience in an IT environment.
· 2 Years of experience with Electronic Medical Records
· 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
· Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within IT.
· Problem-solving skills, including problem analysis.
· Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem solving expertise.
· Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
· Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
· Good planning and organization skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to learn new applications, processes, procedures.
· Ability to be adaptable.
· Ability to multi-task and stay well organized in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to handle possible highly stressful situations.

Licensure / Certification: None.
Working Conditions:
o Work is performed in a medical office setting.
o May be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, biohazards, bodily fluids and other conditions common to a clinic setting.
o Involves frequent contact with staff and the public.
o Contact involves dealing with sick persons.
o Interaction with others may be constant and interruptive.
