New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute position of Medical Billing CPC.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing the overall functions of revenue cycle to ensure maximization of revenue and cash flow while maintaining the highest levels of patient, physician and employee relations.
-Main liaison between billing operation and Pediatric Neuroscience practice.
-Coordinates exchange of information between Practice and billing office.
-Works with billing operation to ensure timely and accurate administration of work processes.
- Proactive response to revenue cycle issues to promote maximized reimbursement.
-Excellent research, problem-solving, follow up and analytical skills as they relate to claims, billings, reimbursements and collections.
-Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
-Ability to handle numerous requests from physicians, business office, and other departments in a courteous, professional, and collaborative manner.
-Time management and conflict resolution skills required.
-High level of independence and initiative.
-Works with Patients and guarantors to explain benefits and payment obligations
-Solves difficult payment and associated business office problems and perform routine Audits to identify problem accounts.
-Maintains current knowledge of, and complies with established policies and procedures including patient confidentiality/patient rights, government, insurance and third party payer regulations.
-Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations with area of expertise.
-Thoroughly understands and utilizes GE Centricity reporting and operating capabilities. Identifies and implements methods to automate and streamline revenue cycle processes through use of the [PMS].
Basic Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in revenue cycle operations with at least 3 years' experience in management capacity
-Minimum 3 years' experience managing or directing patient registration, time of service collections and charge entry functions in a multi-specialty setting.
-The ideal candidate demonstrates extensive knowledge of third-party and insurance company operating procedures, regulations and billing requirements, and government reimbursement programs.
Ideal Qualifications:
-Strong Medical experience
-GE Centricity Practice solutions system experience
-Coding Certification (CPC or equivalent)
