Preferred Primary Care Physicians is seeking a full-time MicroStrategy/BI Developer. The MicroStrategy Developer will work within the Informatics team to design, develop, test, maintain and support data analytics and reporting solutions created within MicroStrategy. This highly qualified individual will work closely with revenue cycle and clinical teams to develop complex MicroStrategy reports and dashboards and assist with data warehouse modifications to meet the organizations requirements. The MSTR Developer will be expected to follow a detailed and well-documented development cycle for all reporting projects.
Candidate must have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field; four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3-5 years of experience with MicroStragegy 8i/9 Desktop, Architect, Report Services (including documents and dashboards), Web, Intelligence Service, OLAP Services, Mobile and Office; or 3-5 years of experience with a comparable business intelligence software package (e.g., SAS, Cognos, Microsoft). Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy complex reports and dynamic dashboards using iCubes, Web, and built-in distribution tools.
* Utilize advanced components such as consolidations, custom groups, advanced metrics, and Free Form SQL.
* Validate data returned in all reports, provide a detailed analysis of data, and identify data quality issues.
* Tune MicroStrategy reports for best SQL performance and efficiency.
* Create ad-hoc reports as requested.
* Design and create new schema objects or modify existing schema objects for evolving reporting needs.
* Administer the MicroStrategy system by updating software and resolving issues related to the reporting and data warehousing environment.
* Document new development, procedures, or test plans as needed.
* Apply a solid software development life cycle process to data development projects.
* Provide guidance and mentoring to members of the informatics team.
* Provide end-user training for MicroStrategy users throughout the organization.
* Participate in data governances assigned.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

* Experience with revenue cycle and clinical information is desirable.
* Experience with Centricity Practice Solutions or Centricity EMR is a plus.
* Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing business requirements.
* Must be able to effectively communicate with various groups within the organization to understand requirements and prepare documentation to support development.
* Must understand complex object design and the underlying data model of the system, as well as have a highly skilled attention to the business requirements details.
* Must have a clear understanding of and strong experience with BI, data warehousing, ETL processes, and related technologies.
* Ability to coach and mentor other members of the Informatics team on the design, development, and usage of the MicroStrategy product suite.
* Strong native SQL skills
* Experience with advanced statistical analysis and predictive modeling
* Ability to complete the full lifecycle of development and deliver on time.
* Ability to work with end-users to translate their needs into usable projects.
