is a full service management services organization providing practice
management (PM) and electronic medical record (EMR) technology to
physicians. We are physician-centered, with the goal of addressing
the critical needs of physicians in our community. IPS offers a
comprehensive suite of support services which include managed care contracting,
billing and accounts receivable management, human resources management,
cutting-edge information technology solutions, and financial analysis and
reporting. IPS utilizes GE Healthcare’s Centricity® Practice Solution to
provide a completely integrated clinical and financial management solution
offering real-time decision support and evidence-based clinical guidelines to
assist hospitals and our physicians in delivering the highest standards of care
to patients.

Responsibilities
Responsible for successfully selling the Independent Physician
Solutions’ services to include the GE Centricity EMR product and the practice
management billing services initially in Ohio and South Carolina. Duties include identifying and properly
qualifying business opportunities; presenting to executive levels of
organizations and preparing formal proposals; leading negotiations,
coordinating complex decision-making process, and overcoming objections to
closure. Individual needs to maintain a strong knowledge of the healthcare
industry and technology initiatives and provide accurate sales forecasts and
reports to management in a timely and consistent manner.
Essential Functions:
1. Research customer needs and develop application of products and services in
an effective manner by:
- researching and developing lists of potential customers
-
doing market research to determine customer needs &
providing information to other staff -
evaluating product & service marketability in terms of
customers’ technical needs - following up on sales leads and developing leads
-
maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and
technical developments that effect target markets -
establishing & maintaining industry contacts that lead
to sales -
establishing a communication path with the customer to
ensure sales opportunities for products & services. -
obtaining & coordinating data & information from
staff & member groups
2. Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a
professional and effective manner by:
-
developing sales and marketing proposals for customers on
technical products & servicesmaking presentations to users,
- developing technical presentations & workshops
-
maintaining up-to-date awareness of activities, industry
trends & government regulations
making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on
leads. -
prepare quotes, contracts and RFP/RFI responses for
potential customers and maintain all quote documentation with accurate pricing
and configurations - acting to close deals & finalize contacts
- meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals
3. Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective
manner by:

researching, developing & maintaining long & short
range sales & marketing plans -
producing regular reports & final plans for Manager’s
approval -
maintaining an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and
procedures to coordinate market plans -
monitoring, analyzing, & communicating sales data, via
contact management software, to contribute to product/service planning
4. Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and
professional manner with all levels of staff and customers

taking responsibility for and making every effort to resolve
communication, trust and respect concerns and problems -

Minimum
Qualifications:
At least three years of field sales experience.
Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills. Experience with
associations and software sales. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency
Qualifications: Five
plus years of sales experience with a software organization selling
software-related products and services within the health care industry to
senior level executives and key department heads. Excellent oral and written
communication skills including formal presentation skills before both small and
large groups. Demonstrated ability in problem solving and negotiation with
special emphasis on closing the sale. Experience managing large territories and
state-of-the-art product offerings. A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of
new technology trends and how they would apply to real world projects. Candidates should have proven track record of
consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
